MOISTURE DRAINAGE AND VENTILATION
Moisture and ventilation are essential to proper construction. KEENE Building Products has pioneered the use of entangled net products in walls, roofs and foundations to handle incidental moisture and create drying potential. These products work in walls, masonry buildings, foundation, and plaza applications. They work to increase moisture drainage, ventilation and isolation in every facet of commercial and residential construction.

In recent years commercial and single family residential construction techniques have changed. Today, tightening the structures to prevent thermal leakage is a common practice. This can be attributed to the demand for energy efficiency. This change in the construction process has led to less air infiltration, which has contributed to moisture problems.
The Driwall™ products are designed to eliminate moisture and moisture vapor while increasing ventilation. Driwall™ products can be used on several different types of commercial exterior applications, such as stucco, EIFS or brick.

Commercial Flashing and Weep Vents for Masonry Walls
Driwall™ Weep Vents are a polyester non-woven mesh vent that ensures drainage of a masonry cavity. The rigid structure properly spaces the bricks from one another and is placed during wall construction. Standard weep vents are 2.5" x 3.5" and 0.375" thick. Color options: almond, gray, tan, and white.

Commercial Weep Screed for Masonry Cavity Walls
Driwall™ Weep Screed is as a flashing & weep designed to be used with a water-resistive barrier, or building paper, & Driwall™ Rainscreen. The unique "V"-shape allows migration of moisture down the screed and away from the wall. Colors include: gray, tan & white.
Driwall Weep Screed is required by all major building codes & the International Building Code at the bottom of all framed walls.

CavClear® Rainscreen Drainage Mat is designed to be installed behind manufactured or thin-set stone, stucco, cedar and lap siding applications to manage moisture and moisture vapor.
It is important to design and construct an effective rainscreen system that will provide a means for drainage and ventilation. Moisture will find its way into exterior wall systems by way of gaps, penetrations, cracks in the surface of the cladding material, and cracked mortar joints. Since it provides the drainage and ventilation function for the system, CavClear™ Rainscreen Drainage Mat is an integral part of a successful rainscreen wall design.
CavClear® Weep Vents are available in a variety of colors to blend with mortar. They are installed in vertical joints (open-head weeps) of brick masonry units at 24″ (609.6 mm) spacing at the flashing level for moisture drainage and airflow. They prevent insects from entering and add visual continuity to open-joint weeps.
The unique notch feature of CavClear Weep Vents facilitates rapid drying. Open-head joint weeps increase ventilation over rope wicks. For better pressure equalization, install weep vents at both the top and bottom of the wall.
CavClear® Masonry Mat is installed full-height behind brick to provide a continuous drainage area for moisture management. A properly functioning drainage system is the prerequisite for a masonry design to achieve maximum thermal efficiencies and reduced maintenance and repair costs.
CavClear Masonry Mat not only protects the weeps in a masonry design, it also addresses mortar obstructions throughout the height of the air space. Mortar bridges are problematic anywhere in the wall, not just at the flashing levels.
Mortar obstructions and droppings which impede drainage are completely prevented by installing full-height protection using CavClear Masonry Mat.
